Lead Engineer - Datacentre Migration - Security Cleared - Wintel, Unix

Our client has an urgent requirement to put a team of 6 x Lead Engineers together on an ongoing datacentre migration project.

As the role is urgent, we require engineers who have current SC Clearance due to the sensitive nature of the project. You will have a broad knowledge of Wintel, UNIX and Storage technologies including Windows Server Technologies, Virtualisation, Citrix, Linux, Solaris, EMC etc. The team will be expected to cover all technologies with specialisms in each of the areas required.

- Experience of Data Centre and/or Application Migration Activities
- Experience of working in a diverse technical environment
- Production of baseline documentation for infrastructure migration on allocated projects
- Engage with relevant business representatives, project teams, programme technical authority and Data Management team to derive and document   migration requirements
- Work with business representatives, technical teams to derive migration approaches
- Work with project testing team and business representatives to define testing scripts for acceptance of physical migrations
- Support trial migrations and business acceptance
- Support handover to BAU
