What will you be responsible for: 1. Lead the detailed planning and co-ordination of nominated Power Train overhauls, major project events, or any other assigned project, including work packages being developed and implemented by other stakeholders. Liaise effectively with the Planning and Risk Engineer to secure appropriate support to achieve this. 2. Manage the implementation of all activities associated with the Power Train, including those being undertaken by Maintenance personnel, during nominated Power Train overhauls or major project events, and ensure agreed HSE, quality, budgetary and programme objectives are met. 3. Take responsibility for the management of HSE associated with the Power Train (with the sole exception of safety from the system) through all stages of planning, co-ordination and execution of activities. Assist in the co-ordination of HSE activities of other stakeholders, and provide expert advice and support as necessary. Implement HSE management systems to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations, delivery of the required standards and continuous improvement. 4. Lead the development, negotiation and implementation of any contractual arrangements required to deliver engineering department work activities for each nominated Power Train overhaul or major project. Provide assistance and guidance to support the development of any contract packages being executed by Maintenance personnel. Ensure that Engineering Department contracts are compliant with relevant standards and deliver the optimum balance of initial cost, technical risk and commercial liabilities. Ensure that all contracts are implemented in due time to support programme objectives for the delivery of key parts (new or refurbished) and services. 5. Ensure that all contracts, resources (internal and external), parts and materials are available for each nominated Power Train overhaul or major project in due time and on a cost effective basis to support delivery of programme and budgetary objectives. 6. Implement Engineering Team systems for the effective management of Quality Assurance of all activities undertaken, including appropriate supervision of contractor activities and parts supply. These shall include post event analysis of all activities as part of a continuous improvement regime. 7. Support the effective co-ordination of activities of the Engineering Team personnel, allowing all work activities to be achieved on a cost effective and timely basis.
