Lead Electrical Technician

Roles and Responsibilities:

Has a detailed knowledge of electrical maintenance practices applicable to offshore oil and gas installations.

Is conversant with the isolation procedures of all electrical equipment under the Permit to Work System

Responsible for ensuring availability and reliability of installation power distribution system.

Responsible for completing verification assurance and maintenance routines and maintain quality records.

Attends the weekly maintenance planning meeting and reports on the execution of the work, advising if work has not been completed and rescheduling requirements: Reports reasons for non-conformity.

Is competent in the asset's electrical safety procedures and to be certified as Responsible Electrical Person.

Is also able to read and work from engineering/vendor drawings.

Educated to ONC level or equivalent, successfully completed a recognised apprenticeship.

Previous industrial experience in the oil & gas industry working as a Lead Electrical Technician

Good communication skills

Self motivated and enthusiastic when working as part of a team or on own initiative

Use skills and experience to contribute to problem solving and improving the day to day running of the department.

Permit to Work system competency
