Lead Electrical Engineer

NRL Opportunity; Lead Electrical Engineer - Grangemouth.

Our client currently has a requirement for a Lead Electrical Engineer to be based at Grangemouth on either a s Staff or Contract basis.
Lead Electrical Engineer leading a small team and working in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Qualifications:
HNC/ HND in Electrical Engineering or related subject. Preferred Qualifications, Degree / Masters in Electrical Engineering, MIET / Chartered Engineer
Experience -
* Extensive experience in electrical engineering preferably within a petrochemical or chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, with experience as Portfolio Lead Engineer on large projects supervising engineers and designers of mixed experience and capabilities while also producing project deliverables.
* Must have superior technical knowledge in electrical engineering that includes the fields of HV (up to 33kV) & LV switchgear application including switchgear specification.
* Must have proven track record or be able to demonstrate ability in leading a design team within an industrial environment on both a large project and a portfolio of smaller projects.
* Must be experienced in project delivery including project scoping, estimating and portfolio management at all phases of project development from conceptual feed to detail design.
* Must be experienced in development of man-hour estimates and delivering projects to control budgets and agreed plans
* Must be experienced in authoring technical specifications and reviewing client scopes / specifications
* Must be motivated and self-sufficient together with ability to work with minimal supervision and capable of identifying and developing project wide design deliverables with familiarity of the interpretation of appropriate national & international industry standards.
* Experience involving the following - oil and gas or chemical or pharmaceutical or nuclear industry projects, HV/LV switchgear specification, load and protection studies, UPS specification, use of Variable Speed Drives, writing installation scopes of work, handling technical queries from installation contractor.
