Lead Developer (f/m) Java

Position description:
Lead development activities for Germany and UK HR for which new solutions will need to be developed (technologies in scope: Enterprise Java, JSF, JPA, MS SQL Server, Oracle, WAS, IHS). The application portfolio consists of HR applications built on purchased packages like PeopleSoft and SAP Business Objects and several applications using Java.

- Develop and implement deliverables for the HR Systems portfolio
- 2nd and 3rd Level Production Support for HR Systems portfolio
- Lead & Support migration and renewal of HR applications
- Perform, control and improve application development, deployment and testing standards
- Perform and manage internal code reviews
- Train and mentor new developers
- Plan, perform and control knowledge transfer as required
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the functional business requirements and expectations
- Responsible for ensuring all requirements are fully documented to IT standards
- Understand the company security & control processes and work with a very strong security and audit mindset
- Deal with concurrent projects and work on prioritization and resolution of project issues
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with business partners and conduct regular reviews

Your profile:
- Degree in an engineering discipline, preferable in Telecommunications or Information Technologies with work experience for minimum 3 years
- Excellent skills in software development and testing in a multicultural environment
- Understanding of Project Management Methodologies (Agile Development, SCRUM etc.
- Very good knowledge of Model-View-Controller Framework and Web Development
- Very good knowledge of J2EE/JSF standards, JPA, LDAP, WSL, MS SQL Server, Oracle
- Strong social competence and communication skills
- Solid knowledge of English and German
- Outgoing, self-confident personality and team player capability
- Autonomous and self-reliant way of working
