Lead Developer
Multinational tech giant seek a Senior Lead Developer. This is an initial 6 month daily rate contract which will likely extend well beyond the initial term. Based in European HQ, state of the art Dublin CC offices.
You will have experience either as a hands on developer, or leading development teams. You will be knowledgeable in development, yet this is not a hands on coding role, this is a Lead role.
Localisation experience sought, along with experience leading Front End development teams or projects.
You will be managing a Spanish localisation -elearning project, amongst other projects. You will have experience across digital content (development, editorial or communications).
You will have at least 4 years' experience across different industry domains. You will be responsible for directing Front End development teams who are mostly off-shore. Responsible for designing, documenting, supporting and implementing Front End applications. Working within an "Agile" Development Environment, become part of a team of Software Engineers, working with cutting edge technology across multiple platforms. Bring a strong technical web and mobile background with the ability to deliver applications across numerous platforms. Although, this is not a hands-on coding role - the expectation is that you must be capable of coding, with solid problem-solving skills and also have the ability to communicate, enthusiastically, clearly and concisely to other engineers within the larger team.
Experience:
- Software development experience across different industry domains
- A minimum of 1 years proven leadership/management experience of technical teams from a resource management and technical team management perspective
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Test Driven Development)
- Knowledge of Front End development frameworks
- Ability to advise other engineers on software deliveries from early conceptual stage through to completion
- Skilled in delivering quality products using latest technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3
- Experience using popular JS utility libraries, especially JQuery, underscore.js, backbone, angular etc.
- Proven knowledge of Responsive Design principles
- Ability to work under short deadlines and co-ordinate development schedules
- Must be able to work with a team of developers (both internal and external) on multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of design patterns including Model View Controller, Singleton, Module etc.
