Lead Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 7)

We are looking for an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist with a minimum of 4 years post graduate UK based experience for this locum position which is located in Epsom, Surrey.

The role involves assisting the Lead Consultant in the overall clinical delivery for this team as the specialist clinical practitioner ensuring the case management of patients is maintained at the highest standard. The job entails clinical delivery of physiotherapy to a range of conditions from traumatic injuries sustained during operational activities. This will include complex orthopeadic fractures, limb loss and spinal cord injuries. The successful physiotherapist will be required to have a strong background in manual therapy skills, amputee rehab as well as an understanding of the use of exercise therapy in rehabilitation.

The successful physiotherapist will also be required to be proactive in the development of the complex trauma service in conjunction with the team Lead Consultant adn may be required to attend multidisciplinary injury clinics providing SME input.

You must have:
-A recognised degree/diploma in Physiotherapy and a minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience in musculoskeletal disorders, sports Injuries, orthopaedic conditions, mobilisation and manipulation
-Previously held a position as a Physiotherapist Band 7
-Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
-Registration with the Health Professionals Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Desirable:
-Previous experience of working with the MOD
-Previous experience in the use of Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMCP)
-European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
