Lead Architect - Server/Storage

Lead Architect required to work for our leading online retailer in West London.

You will be responsible for leading the company's server and storage engineering team with a focus on ensuring technologies systems and services are reliable, available, up to date and compliant. The position requires strong technical knowledge in a range of systems across Virtualisation, Storage and Wintel to which will be used to define strategy and future road map.

You will provide guidance on tech implementation expertise to install and configure the technology components and ensure that the live environment is protected at all times as well as develop proposals that seek to improve service reliability and streamline systems. You will also manage changes to the environment by following Change Management process to Planning and delivery of all patches, maintenance releases and all major product enhancement releases to these infrastructure components.

Candidates should have strong service experience (HP kit, Windows and RedHat), strong virtualisation ideally VMWare, and strong storage (EMC, NetApp and HP). Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and file/print is also needed. You should have lead technical teams in demanding environments and take ownership for critical systems. You must have a strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-level infrastructure solutions and associated systems management.
