Lead Architect - EUC & Mobility

My client, one of the worlds largest public broadcasting companies requires a Lead Architect for a 6 month contract based in London.

You will take a lead in guiding and informing the procurement teams by developing and articulating the strategy, and defining the scope, architecture and specification of the end-user and mobile computing services in conjunction with the product leads. You will support the continuation of business as usual services, as well as taking into account and considering future industry developments.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge and familiarity of multiple end-user computing and mobile technologies and strategies designed to meet business objectives and requirements to include:
oEUC and mobile devices and platforms, such as smart phones, tablets, laptop, thin clients, desktop, operating systems and related management toolsets.
oCollaborative/Messaging Tools, audio, web and video conferencing, Microsoft Lync, Jabber, Webex, etc.
oCloud platforms: O365, Google Apps For Work, and the wider EUC and SaaS marketplace
oApplications Management: installation, configuration management, secure access, data and application delivery to multiple EUC and Mobile platforms
oSecurity - Firewall, VPN, Identity Management
oVirtual Infrastructure Management & VDI
oMobile carrier services, including WAN, LAN and MPLS
oEUC-related infrastructure services, eg Data Management, File and Application Servers, Networking Solutions, Print Solutions, etc.
oMobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Information Management (MIM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) solutions such as Airwatch, Good, Citrix CloudGateway/XenMobile and MobileIron

*Proficient in aggressively engaging in activities including deployment initiatives, communications and end-user training in support of newly implemented systems, services and solutions
*Ability to partner with innovation teams to quickly assess new technologies, digest value, and prototype in the lab
*Outstanding communication skills with everyone from end users to C-level executives

Experience:
*Minimum of 10 years IT experience with 5 years performing a technical implementation, particularly in the areas of strategy, architecture and solutions recommendation, and selection of EUC technologies and services
*Experience of defining and implementing a next generation EUC strategy
*Leading a technology function that supports a climate of rapid change.
