LAN/WAN Engineer, Cisco, Voice, Comm's

Responsibilities as the COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST include:- - Design, manage and support the network environment
- Ensure high availability, performance and capacity video, voice and data communications are available to the agency;
- Provide technical expertise to project teams and management on an as required basis;
- Provide assistance overseas for problem resolution;
- Travel overseas as required for regular maintenance visits;
- Liaise with third party service providers;
- Participate in change management process through contribution;
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level Service Desk support as required; and
- Provide technical advice to other staff and participate in skills transfer as required and mentor junior staff.

AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP is a requirement of this role.

Additionally, a Baseline/Protected clearance is a minimum requirement, ideally you will hold an existing SECRET/NV1 level clearance with the Australian Federal Government.
