LAN/WAN Cisco Network Engineer- South Italy

Our global client is looking to recruit a LAN/WAN Cisco Network Engineer

The LAN/WAN Cisco Network Engineer will be responsible for:

*The maintenance and administration of the DFS LAN and WAN operations. The incumbent is responsible for managing and maintaining standard configurations, Switches, Routers, monitoring and management tools.
*For final testing and deployment of LAN/WAN solutions as well as all related technical documentation.
*Operations tier one and tier 2 request fulfillments, incident resolution as well participate in the problem resolution related to LAN and WAN environment.
*Shift work as part of an extended service coverage. The incumbent will participate in the out of hours duty roster and Stand-by services, as required.

The requested expertise includes:
*Extensive background of operating and maintaining LAN and WAN in large environments
*Good knowledge of Local Area Network, and managing Cisco Switches, with Nexus technology desirable.
*Good Knowledge of Wide Area Network background managing Cisco Routers using different routing protocols.
*Good knowledge of network management tools and practices.
*Good knowledge of content networking equipment including content switching, caching and
*acceleration.
*Good knowledge of network security including Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention devices.
