Laboratory Technician

DESCRIPTION

- This role is responsible for supporting development work within the Ingredient Research area, primarily focused on the protein and carbohydrate component areas.
- Must be able to organize and execute experimental plans and analyses with appropriate level of guidance, flexible to adapt to changes in plans, work with multiple team members.
- Person should be capable of word processing and data entry for data capture.
- Additionally, jobholder should be responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained in proper working order and that supplies and work area are maintained to avoid work disruption.
- Work independently, organize daily work, execute experiments independently, collaborate with team members, word processing and data entry for lab results
- Maintain lab equipment.

SKILLS:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- General work experience - minimum 2 years
- General Laboratory experience - minimum 1 year
- Functional Work Experience (carbohydrate analyses) preferred
- Attention to detail

- Bachelor's Degree Major: Food Science, Food Processing, Chemistry, Engineering
