Lab Assistant Job

LAB TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington DE.

THE BIG PICTURE:

With guidance from supervision, primary responsibility is to assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research. Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for producing research experimental results and assembling small scale production equipment utilizing a variety of techniques.
- Sets-up, monitors and operates extruders, molding machines, presses, mills, etc. ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
- Able to effectively document findings and communicate results. Identifies and suggests improvement methods and ability to troubleshoot when unexpected results occur.
- Maintain safety and quality standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or related discipline with excellent lab skills and comprehensive understanding of molecular biology concepts.
- The candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, a good work ethic and be able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
