Lab Assistant

SUMMARY:

- Seeking a student assistant to join the Immuno-Pharmacology drug discovery team.
- The candidate will be involved in the performance of routine in vitro assays (ELISAs, Westerns, etc...), cell based-assays, flow cytometry, as well as supporting in vivo studies under direction and supervision of a scientist.
- In addition they will be making buffers, reagent solutions, conducting cell/tissue culture, checking inventory and ordering lab supplies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- The candidate should be at least 2 years away from graduation and have at least one year experience in biology- or immunology-related field, with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- The candidate must have strong research ethic, be self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Good communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Previous laboratory experience and basic knowledge of laboratory work such as pipetting and ability to calculate and make dilutions are desired.
- Interest in drug discovery in pharmaceutical setting; Knowledge of Biology and Immunology; Understanding of Cancer Biology are preferred.
