Junior Web Content Editor

Our client, an award winning retailer in London are looking for a junior web content editor to join on an initial 6 months contract. Paying up to £100 per day you will have the opportunity to gain some fantastic experience. Working alongside the web merchandiser you will support daily website maintenance activities, seasonal product launch and weekly on site promotions, including on going online merchandising activities and building, scheduling and testing weekly emails.

Key Activities:

Website and CMS

- Supporting the web merchandiser with weekly promotions on site: banners - categories refreshes on the CMS platform
- Providing an extra eye on the website content, products, prices, functionality
- Helping with the seasonal launch: applying HTML to new product description and main product fields (product page info, product attributes, related products, categories, banners)
- Testing and checking product details on the website to reflect up to date information
- Main Admin Tasks: Archiving, Updating and Printing new promo meeting plans and email templates

Seo and merchandising

- Applying the recommended SEO updates on the site: breadcrumb trail, URL's, page titles, products titles, landing pages, meta descriptions .
- Working with the web merchandiser to update product and category hierarchy, and best sellers
- Using GA analysis reports in order to optimise and improve sales and conversion

Email Building

- Being able to use Photoshop and Dreamweaver in order to slice and create emails in HTML
- Testing email links, content and images
- Scheduling emails according to the promo calendar plan through the email marketing platform

Skills Required

- Good knowledge of Excel
- Basic knowledge of HTML & CMS
- Good Knowledge of CSS would be strongly desired
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop and basic email building
- Ftp knowledge desired but not essential
- Preferred 1/2 years working experience in the web/digital arena
- Degree in digital media/IT
- Being able to work in a fast pace environment with a proactive mind set
- Excellent inter-personal/communication skills with a positive and collaborative attitude
- E-commerce experience will be advantageous
