Junior to Mid-Level Product Designer

Yoh has a THREE TO SIX (3-6) month CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY for a JUNIOR TO MID-LEVEL PRODUCT DESIGNER to join our client in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Overview:
The Product Design team is responsible for the user experience, research, usability and overall design of a suite of web-based software products, the Junior to Mid-Level Product Designer's work will shape how these products are designed, built, deployed, and improved.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Junior to Mid-Level Product Designer will work with product and engineering teams to develop visually stunning and useful products.
- Work closely with client teams to uncover business needs, develop design strategies, present and defend the design team's work, and build consensus.
- Design and develop HIGH-FIDELITY PROTOTYPES USING HTML, CSS, AND JAVASCRIPT.
- CRAFT LOW-FIDELITY PROTOTYPES USING PAPER, AXURE, OR BALSAMIQ TO COMMUNICATE RECOMMENDATIONS AND EXPLORE THE PROBLEM SPACE.
- Junior to Mid-Level Product Designer will recognize when existing design patterns are appropriate for reuse and modify HTML/CSS/JS as necessary.
- DESIGN AND MAINTAIN MULTI-PLATFORM AND RESPONSIVE INTERFACES.
- Participate in user research, including discovery interviews, observation, surveys, and more.
- Plan and conduct usability testing and evolve the design based on the findings.
- Direct creation of personas, journeys, scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, workflows, interaction and experience models based on research.
- Junior to Mid-Level Product Designer will work in an environment that respects the design process, including sketching, critique, and iteration.
- Advocate user-centered design best practices across projects.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two to five (2- 5) years of work experience.
- Code semantically CORRECT HTML AND CSS AND PRESENTATION-LAYER JAVASCRIPT.
- PORTFOLIO OR WEBSITE OF WORK EXAMPLES SHOWING PROCESS AND LIFE CYCLE OF PROJECTS OVER TIME.
