Junior Risk Analyst

Job Title: Junior Risk Analyst
Job Type: Contract (6 months+)
Daily Rate: £120-180 per day
Industry: Banking/Financial Services

My client, a global investment bank, is looking to recruit a junior risk analyst on a 6 month contract.

Responsibilities -
- Responsible for (a) documenting business requirements, (b) working with IT teams to ensure a timely delivery and (c) user acceptance testing
- Working within a team of 4 business analysts responsible for the successful implementation of various strategic and BAU projects
- Scope includes key Regulatory projects including Credit VAR / CVA VAR, Stressed VAR.

Required Skills -
- Good understanding of financial markets functioning
- Basic understanding of traded products.
- Ability to deal with a complex problem and take a logical and constructive approach to investigating and presenting the issues.
- Ability to work well within a team, to tights deadlines in a fast moving environment
- Minimum BSc in a quantitative discipline (first or upper second class)
