A major pharmaceutical company in Basel is searching for a Junior Project Manager with experience of assisting a service-/help-desk improvement project.
This is an ideal stepping stone for a Junior Project Manager to make the progression towards becoming a fully-fledged project manager in the short-to-medium term because the successful candidate will have the opportunity to assume more responsibilities as the project progresses.
This is an initial 6-month contract position based in Basel.
There is a strong likelihood of contract extensions for the successful candidate.
The working environment is English, therefore it is crucial that you possess excellent English language skills - almost to a fluent -speaker level.
In order to be considered for this role it is crucial that you possess all of the following:
- Availability to start a new contract within 1 month
- At least 5 years' experience of supporting cross-functional project teams on service-/help-desk improvement projects in a highly-matrixed organisation with non-co-located teams
- Experience with IT User Services - ideally with a knowledge of HP Service Manager
- Outstanding communication skills in English (German, French, Spanish would be advantageous)
- Strong influencing skills and a proven ability to get things done without the use of formal authority
- Project management certification such as PMP
