Junior Project Manager

We are urgently recruiting for 2 x Project Managers with more than 5 years' experience for a 1 year contract (with possible extension) at an EU institution located in Brussels, Belgium. You will be at least at a basic team leadership level, with good overall project management experience.

Nature of the main tasks:
- Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
- Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.
- Manage the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project sponsors.
- Estimate costs, timescales, and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed terms of reference.
- Monitor costs; timescales and resources used, and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
- Give proposals for project strategies, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of project deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reports, problem reporting and management systems, follow up and organization.
- Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings.
- Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plan, provide regular and accurate reports.
- Provide effective leadership for the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and constantly developing their skills and experience.
- Guide the team in charge of project activities and review their deliverables.

Knowledge and competences:
- Project management standards and methodologies (PM')
- Software development methodologies (RUP, Agile, Agile SCRUM)
- Technical knowledge on the projects aspects.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to give presentations.
- Leadership capability.
- UML, BPMN (Business Modelling)

Tools and Methodologies:
- IBM Rational Requirement Composer (RRC)
- IBM Rational Team Concert (IBM RTC)
- Microsoft Project 2013

Technical certification(s) - At least, one of the following:
- PRINCE 2 Foundation level
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner level
- COBIT Workshop
- PMI Project Management
- PMI Programme Management
- PM's certifications (certified + practitioner)
