Junior Professional Murex

For our well-known client in Zürich we're looking for a Quality IT - Junior Professional (Murex Junior) for a 5 months project.

The Support Analyst role is for develop into Subject Matter Expert on where to ensure stability and performance of the FX Risk portfolio of applications in production, pre-production and Quality assurance environments.

Provide 2nd level support for FX Risk portfolio

Facilitate Murex rollout to FX

Ability to support multi-tiered environment Application process Management Infrastructure with continual process improvement management Production Incidents management and mitigation Performance and Capacity management Application deployments and Configuration in all supported environments

Your team

You'll be working as part of the core FX team in CH and will be based in Zurich.

Your experience and skills

You have:

- Product knowledge of Murex 3.1
- Able to execute Murex upgrade/new Murex rollout
- A natural ability to solve complex issues
- A drive for continuous improvement (you want to make things better & know how to do that)
- Direct experience of vendor management & ensuring we get maximum service levels from our partners
- A proven level of comfort and confidence facing off and interacting with IT and Business management
- A high degree of interest in, or ideally direct experience with Fixed Income Rates and Credit
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
- Self managing & self-driven and able to follow tasks through to completion
- A good collaborator working closely with colleagues in various locations for the common good of delivering a stable Murex environment to the user community
- Understanding of capacity management

You are:

- A degree in Information Technology/Software engineering.

An independent worker who prefers to remain a high level technology specialist.

Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and an aptitude for all levels of Support work.

Understand and respond appropriately to the needs of internal clients who are encountering systems difficulties related to software Use technical and analytical expertise and knowledge of systems to resolve problems internally or through outside vendors and manufacturers.

Specialist level of knowledge on Unix, Unix Scripting and programming skills, Wintel OS exposure.

Accustomed to working in international and multicultural teams Maintain the bank's standards and professional approach, especially when under pressure Manage client expectations, build relationships and communicate effectively with both business partners and other stakeholders Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
