Junior Operations/Fund Accountant- Systematic Hedge Fund

My Client is one of the leading systematic hedge funds inLondon. They are looking for a bright, keen and motivated individual who is focused on a career in hedge fund accounting. Currently a small team, the group is expanding and they are looking for a junior candidate to take ownership of operations and fund accounting duties. The successful candidate needs to show a high level of common sense, logic and an aptitude for continuous improvement. A graduate (relevant degree at least 2:1) or 1-2 yrs relevant experience in a financial/banking environment would be beneficial. Role Areas that would be covered. - Daily internal NAV preparation. - Reconciliation of administrators NAVs. - Daily custodian reconciliations. - Daily PL reconciliation on margin products. - CFD reset reconciliation. - Daily MIS reporting. - Monthly MIS preparation. - Daily shareholder flow bookings. - Month end administrator shareholder flow reconciliation. - Month end shareholder lot reconciliation. - Internal Fund accounting inbox management. - Internal / External NAV reporting. - Project work. Requirements: - 1 -2 years relevant experience working in a Hedge fund, with good knowledge of equity and futures. - A graduate (relevant degree at least 2:1) - Good understanding of Hedge fund accounting, accounting qualifications will be a plus (not essential - CIMA will be offered) - Good communication skills and ability to liaison with PBs, administrator, auditors and any external counterparties.
