Junior Marketing Buyer Job

JUNIOR MARKETING BUYER needed for a long term contract opportunity with our client located in NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This position is responsible for purchasing activities related to Marketing.
- Responsible for managing suppliers, develop comprehensive scopes of work, issue Request For Proposals (RFPs), performs competitive supplier evaluations, participates in and implements the organization's strategic and tactical plans.
- Review and finalize a high volume of Shopping Carts (that are often urgent) in Universal Workflow
- Work with LoB to create/correct Scopes of Work (SOW) for shopping carts in Workflow with missing or incorrect SOW.
- Work with vendor and Senior Marketing Buyer to get SOW fully executed and attached to shopping carts.
- Create Services Agreements for new vendors and contact vendors for signature.
- Work on YVC New Vendor Creation requests forwarded to me for follow up by Senior Marketing Buyer.
- Initiate SMP/SLC Process for new vendors.
- Review and approved Vendor Extension and Change requests in YVC and forward to VMD Team.
- Respond to LoB e-mails with questions regarding status of shopping carts or vendor requests.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS/BA Degree, five (5) years of experience in a purchasing function including knowledge of and experience in contracting/negotiations, bid evaluation, and process improvements.
- Requires a balance of assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy along with exceptional oral/presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Word application skills and SAP background preferred but not required.
- Marketing knowledge/experience also preferred but not required.
