Junior Java Developer

Yoh has a contract-to-hire opportunity for a JUNIOR JAVA DEVELOPER to join our client in St. Louis, Missouri.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work closely with the project team in the area of Object Oriented, web-based application development.
- Perform programming and testing tasks.
- Apply development of n-tier, web-based applications.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline.
- Object Oriented Design and application background/coursework related experience.
- Java experience including servlet, JSP, and Application Server implementation of J2EE containers - coursework experience applicable.
- HTML, JavaScript and CSS development skills.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or DB2 relational databases preferably utilizing JDBC/SQL.
- Understanding of version control and change management processes.
- Detail-oriented with solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Unit and integration testing skills.
- Experience applying the above technologies to the development of n-tier, web-based applications.
- Experience with J2EE application Servers such as JBOSS or Tomcat.
- Experience with Eclipse based IDE, Hibernate, AJAX, JUnit, SOAP, SOA, or JSON.
- Familiar with Linux/Unix command line environment.
- MVC Pattern experience within frameworks such as Spring or Struts.
- One (1+) year professional Java experience.
