Junior IT Security Officer

Junior IT security officer - Brussels - 7 months - French/English

The company is looking for an IT Security profile to support ISS Security Officers in their day-to-day activities including:

Support IT Security Officers in the day-to-day activities including:

Regular controls of user & admin accounts & accesses (Active Directory/UNIX/Applications/Network accesses/VPN )
Review of security reports (antivirus, patching, vulnerability scanner)
Access cleanup after reviews
Documentation of security controls/security review processes
Creation and maintenance of a security dashboards
Follow-up of application security (advice, follow-up of security sheets)
Validation of user requests where IT Security approval is needed
Advice on application flows & Validation of opening

He/she will be in contact with technical teams (business operations, IT infrastructure, UNIX admins, Windows admins, application support team, developers, and service providers) to perform his/her tasks and will report to the security officers.

Being proactive in fulfilling tasks and improving processes & documentation
Strong analytical skills
Strong ability to adapt & learn
Ability to communicate/defend a security policy (and raise awareness accordingly)
Good technical & security background
Be consistent in the decisions made, and take responsibility for them
Fluent in French and English - spoken & written

At least 3 to 5 years of experience working in IT Security.

Experience with vulnerability scanners (egQualys)
Knowledge of Windows/Active Directory & Network/Knowledge of the n-tier principle
General Knowledge of IT Security (Confidentiality/Availability/Integrity/Tracking)
General Knowledge of Security Components & Notions (Proxy, Firewall, 802.1x,Natting )
