Junior Data Scientist (m/f)

Currently we are looking for a Junior Data Scientist (m/f).

Your tasks include:
+ Conduct advanced data analysis to provide actionable insights, identify trends and measure performance
+ Use data mining and analytical expertise to explore and examine data from multiple diverse sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insights, which in turn can provide a competitive advantage or address a pressing business problem
+ Develop and contribute to algorithms for modeling and predicting customer behavior, create technical demos and influence the go-to market strategy by category, business unit and customer segment
+ Research best practices, conduct experiments, and collaborate with industry leaders
+ Visualize data to tell compelling stories
+ Improve the effectiveness of business decisions by using large datasets

+ Minimum BA/BS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or a related quantitative discipline
+ Relevant experience in data analytics, statistics, software engineering and data visualization/UI
+ Ability to mine large datasets and look for valuable insights that drive business outcomes
+ Experience with statistical programming languages, such as R or Python
+ Proficiency with at least one of the following object-oriented languages: Java, Scala, C++, C# etc
+ Familiarity with relational databases and database querying language like SQL
+ Multivariable calculus, linear algebra and machine learning knowledge would be a plus
+ Big data, Hadoop and Spark knowledge would be an advantage
+ Excellent analytical, logical and problem-solving skills
+ Strong presentation and communication skills
+ Fluent written and spoken English, German would be a plus
