Junior Credit Risk Analyst, SAS, SQL, MI - Edinburgh

My client, a global financial institution, is currently seeking 3-4 Credit Risk Analysts for contract positions in Edinburgh initially for 3 months but likely to extend.

Requirement: To work mainly on projects within these Credit Risk areas:

Impacts of scorecard recalibration

Profile:

I am joining the bank in a Credit Risk Analyst/Assurance role. I will operate as part of the main body of colleagues that make up the Credit Risk function. I am expected to provide quality support to my manager and act as a delegate as appropriate whilst fully engaging the day-to-day management of Credit Risk. To carry out this quality support, I am required to be SAS/SQL competent and have experience ranging from 2-4 years in Credit Risk. I actively challenge outputs from Business Assessments and of their Credit Risk and ensure that appropriate processes are in place throughout the Bank to identify, assess, mitigate, monitor and report credit risks. I am also required to provide timely and pertinent analysis that assists the Bank Executive in the management of the Credit Risk profile. I am required to challenge outputs from business assessments and assess and present their impact on Credit Risk. I am required to deliver initiatives on time, within budget and support the delivery of the business financial targets. It will be expected of me to investigate and follow up root causes of issues and seek realistic resolutions and deliver changes promptly.

Skills & Experience

At least 2 years' experience within a Credit Risk Function.

Be Numerate - Able to analyse complex data sets.

Experience of Operating within a fast-changing environment.

Knowledge of Consumer Banking and Financial Industry.

Experience with SAS or other Statistical Package.
