Junior Build Engineer

This is a six month project in the Perimeter area of Atlanta. Could be extended.

Job Duties:

Deploy Consumer Systems' web application to multiple environments.

Strategically plan builds and deploys to multiple testing integration environments and production.

Deploy merged code to production environment.

Serve as a member of the change review board.

Perform branching/merging of code as required.

Troubleshoot build issues.

Automating and maintaining daily builds of various software products.

Qualifications

Understanding of Configuration Management.

Understanding Build automation experience including maintenance and optimization.

Knowledge of GIT, SVN, or Hudson/Jenkins

Experience with Linux required.

Experience rolling out redundant, mission-critical applications with minimal downtime

Knowledge of software development life cycle

Experience implementing configuration management best practices for agile development environment

Hands-on experience assisting developers with development issues related to configuration management tool use (check in/out, branching, and Tagging)

Hands-on experience performing software builds and releases.

Skills

Ability to implement, document and maintain scripts

Excellent written and oral communications in a fast-paced environment.

Scripting skills, specifically Python, Perl and Bash

Analytical and problem solving skills

Manage and control the source code repository using GIT or SVN

Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment
