Jr. Project Manager

Seeking qualified candidates for the position of PROJECT MANAGER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinates project activities and perform research, evaluation and analysis of operational issues
- Develops business forecasts to support development of plans and strategies
- Develops the project plan and monitor activities within the plan aligned with milestones and deliverables
- Demonstrates understanding of basic concepts of project planning and design research techniques and data analysis
- Gathers statistical data from a number of sources for analysis and problem identification
- Reviews information and identifies pertinent project areas for research and/or make recommendations for future planning needs either independently or as part of a team
- Participates in identifying and establishing benchmarks for performance improvement systems
- Interacts with planning team members to project milestones and deadlines
- Recognizes and remedies problems; Analyzes trends so that the team may anticipate changes and adapt to them
- Evaluates project effectiveness and implement changes/improvements as needed
- Directs the development of standards and procedures to be used in project development and implementation
- Demonstrates adequate knowledge and skill in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications andcompletes associated tasks and assignments in a timely manner
- Communicates with others the details and specifications of the project plan
- Maintains status reports on all projects
- Tracks issues that have an impact on the goals and objectives
- Initiates corrective action necessary to rectify deficiencies found during project reviews

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in related field or specialized training and three years of project management or equivalent team leadership experience
- PMP certification from PMI or equivalent certification
- 3 years' experience leading projects of moderate to high complexity (must have occurred in the last 5 years)
- Hands-on experience with MS Project, MS Visio, SharePoint, and MS Office
