Jr. a/V Test Engineer

DESCRIPTION:
Test interactive video software applications and equipment functionality on digital and cable products. Testing will include code applications download and start up, User Interface test and verification, video and audio quality testing.
- Work with and test on the next generation of program guide and cable TV set top boxes.
- Track and execute first level of debug on issues detected, collect diagnostic data for SW engineering.
- Update manual test procedures.
- Generate Defect Reports in Jira defect database.
- Configure simple networks & hardware and troubleshoot network & hardware failures.
- Measure and troubleshoot Ethernet and RF signals with industry standard test equipment and processes. SKILLS:

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- BS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, 0-2 years' experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Ethernet technologies (TCP, UDP, DHCP, SSL, Routers, Firewalls)
- Experience with one or more of the following test tools: Wireshark, MPEG Analyzer, RF Spectrum Analyzer
- Networking protocol experience [IP routing, IP Multicasting, IPTV, HLS, RTSP, etc.) is preferred.
- Must work well within a team environment.
- MS Office skills.
