JEE Developer/Team Lead

The Candle IT team are seeking applications for Java Technical lead position we are currently managing. We are particularly interested in meeting with highly motivated and skilled candidates with the following experience.

MANDATORY:

- Substantial experience designing, developing and maintaining large complex, mission-critical applications in a Unix - based JEE/Relational Database environment as a Senior Developer (JEE); preferably including experience with:
- Oracle Weblogic Application Server
- Oracle RDBMS/SQL
- UML/XML/UNIX/JSF
- High level of OO Analysis and Design skills backed by practical experience;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent with Agile and/or Iterative methodologies; and
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to organisational quality management and SDLC processes
- Proven experience in managing small to medium sized development teams.

DESIRABLE:

- Experience in Service Oriented Architectures (Tibco)
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology
- Demonstrated ability to solve interface issues between bespoke Java and vendor software applications - such as Objective EDMS and SAP
- Proven ability to pilot innovative practises and methodologies in the JEE space.
- Ability to implement application monitoring and performance
- Experience with Configuration Management in a Sun Solaris environment
