Javascript/HTML/CSS Developer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collaborate on planning and implementation of interactive projects with internal and external stakeholders and staff, including project and product managers, designers, Back End developers, technical, operational and content staff
- Assist the Technical Project Manager with project requirements gathering and scoping, and assist with the definition of development goals and details for implementation
- Maintain a professional approach to documentation, including drafting initial functional specifications documents and project documentation for ongoing reference once a project is completed
- Work effectively with project teams to develop, test and deliver solutions on schedule
- Liaise with UI designers, Server Side developers, and testers to develop, iterate, integrate, test and debug applications

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as computer science, multimedia, interactive development or related field
- Demonstrated outstanding expertise in using HTML, CSS to develop usable, accessible, attractive user interfaces for a range of web browsers and platforms
- Experience with developing HTML applications for connected TVs would be an advantage
- High level demonstrated experience with developing maintainable and efficient JavaScript applications, including access and display of content from third party JSON APIs and web services
- Proven experience working with current Front End MVC frameworks such as Angular.js, Backbone.js or Ember.js an advantage
- Experience with video playback applications and video streaming standards such as HLS and MPEG DASH
- Knowledge of automated UI testing frameworks and continuous integration/deployment strategies Experience with Server Side application development such as PHP, Python and API design is an advantage
- Demonstrated outstanding teamwork, verbal and written communication skills, with experience working with UX designers, and other developers, and project planning and issue management tools such as JIRA
- Demonstrated outstanding skills in planning and prioritizing projects and tasks working under pressure to tight deadlines
- Broadcasting/IPTV experience highly regarded
