Java/Web Services Developer

Resource 1 is in need of a Java Developer for a 6-month contract-for-hire in Rosemont, Illinois. 

This position will be a combination of new development and support/maintenance programming.  Individual will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, and support of several JAVA/J2EE web services.  Individual must be a fast learner, and eager to mentor less experienced team members.  Individual should have at least 5 years of experience analysing, designing, developing, testing, and implementing services and applications using Java and related technology.  Individual should have experience with Java, HTML, SQL, EJB, Test Driven Development (JUNIT) and MVC.  Should have a solid understanding of EAI, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns, and UML.  Web Service development will be done using CXF, JAX-WS, JAX-RS and JAX-B for REST/SOAP services.  Experience with testing tools is a big plus, including XMLSpy, JUnit, soapUI, or HP Web Service tester & LoadRunner.  Significant development experience using Eclipse-based IDEs and an Application Server (Weblogic a plus). Individual should also have a solid understanding of relational databases, especially Oracle with PL/SQL.
