Java Team Lead

Joe Holmes at Progressive IT is recruiting for a talented Java Team Lead to build a team of 10 developers. The successful candidate must be able to work with global development teams and demanding stakeholders. You will be flexible, and take ownership and responsibility for the delivery of new features for both green field projects and new systems enhancements. You must be adaptable to work across multiple technologies and disciplines with a focus on delivering quality solutions for the business in timely fashion. Although this is a senior role, you will still need to be hands on as well as providing mentoring and leadership to the team. Essential experience:· Java, J2SE, Spring, JUnit, JMS· SQL, Sybase and/or DB2· UNIX/LINUX OS· Scripting Perl/ksh· * Excellent communication skills, with experience speaking to stakeholders * Experience mentoring less experience members of staff and delegating work where appropriate * An understanding of event driven message based architectures· Appreciation of Agile software development * Must be flexible and able to respond to a varying business environment and should have a keen interest to learn the business supported by the applications If you're looking for an exciting new challenge, then please send your most up to date CV or call Joe Holmes on 01189 519105.
