Java System Developer - Norwegian Speaker
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Java System Developer for a project in Oslo, Norway.
A Java system developer will go into a competent team that is responsible for development - and test environments, and building infrastructure based on including Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Git, Subversion, and proprietary bash script.
Among other tools we use are Puppet, Docker, Rundeck, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Graphite worth mentioning.
It is expected that the consultant will be able to further develop existing solutions but also challenge current solutions, and contribute to further streamlining of current delivery both methods and tools related.
The consultant will also work closely with people from development teams, testers and operations personnel.
Expertise and experience
- Have good knowledge of Norwegian, both written and oral.
- Should have had work experience as Java system developer.
- Must have been executing/was responsible for setting up and configuring products for buildings within the Java environment using Maven or equivalent framework.
- Must have been executing/was responsible for setting up, configuring and tune products for continuous building within the Java environment using the server for continuous integration (Jenkins or the like).
- Must have been executing/was responsible for setting up, configuring and tune solutions based on a Servlet Container (Jetty or the like).
- Must have working experience with driving environment consisting of operating systems Linux or UNIX and practical work experience with Scripting languages for Linux or Unix.
- Must have working experience with Puppet.
- Working experience with other tools for configuration management, as Chef, Ansible, like is an advantage.
- Working experience with "continuous delivery" or changing the delivery rate of "continuous delivery" as the goal is an advantage.
- Working experience with application containers Docker is an advantage.
- Working experience in organizations working for DevOps principles is an advantage.
