Java, Spring, Cassandra/Nosql Database Developer/Architect

Proteus Europe is currently recruiting for a Big Data Architect/Developer for one of our prestigious clients. Our client is seeking a experienced engineer to extend a team that is working on cloud services.

Roleto create, adapt and discuss a high level technical architecture given many uncertainties; to design for scalability
- Server development skills
- Java EE
- Spring 3
- JDK7, JDK8
- NoSQL distributed databases, eg Cassandra
- Spark Streaming
- Other technologies: OAuth, REST, MQTT
- It is vital to have both architectural and development skills.
- Clean coding skills
- Excellent unit and system testing skills
- Experience with version control systems (git, github)
- Experience with continuous integration process and tools
- Knowledge of/experience with SCALA is advantageous
- Knowledge of/experience with Big Data and IoT technologies are advantageous

Apart from these pure technical skills, the candidate should possess:

- The ability to work independently and pro-actively.
- Experience working in an agile environment, acquainted with the SCRUM project life cycle
- A strong quality orientation, combined with a pragmatic attitude
- Strong command of English
- Good communication and writing skills
