Java Software Engineer - Interim or Secret Clearance Job

SR. JAVA DEVELOPERneeded for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in O'Fallon, IL.

. Experienced with Java Development

. Bachelors Degree

. Must be able to obtain Government clearance

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

. Researches, designs, develops and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.

. Designs and codes software components, units, and modules that meet product specifications and development schedules.

. Performs systems modelling, simulation, and analysis.

. Tests and debugs assigned components and units.

. Participates in large system and subsystem planning.

. Collaborates with hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities.

. Writes and updates technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.

. Troubleshoots problems and provides customer support for software operating systems and application issues.

. Advises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.

. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

. Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

. Requires BS/BA degree.

. 8 - 10 years of related software development experience.

. Experience with Sterling's GenTran EDI Server

. Translation Software a plus.

. Experience with development of SDDC Applications a plus.

. Experienced with Oracle Forms 10g, RDBMS Java Development Kit (JDK), Serena Team

. Track, Apache, JBoss, JAVA, UniBasic, C, Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Visual

. Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript), and Unix Shell Scripts.

. Requires BS/BA degree.

. Must be able to obtain a Government clearance
