Java Software Engineer: Financial Java Products An industry leading financial software provider is current expanding the capabilities of a number of their products into several new areas. To keep up with the expanding projects the Data Group is in need of a Senior Java Software Engineer. The Senior Java Engineer will work on a variety of server side systems, primarily involving the development of interfaces to external financial systems. This position provides a unique opportunity for a senior Java engineer to expand their financial domain knowledge within a very strong, senior level engineering team. The Java Engineer will help to develop challenging new products in the financial space. Key Technology Skills: * Java, SQL, OO Design, Agile/Scrum, Perl Scripting, XML/XSL, web services, ETL, Data Warehouse experience Responsibilities: * Understand and apply enterprise level integration * Possess excellent problem solving skills, as well as a general ability to learn new technologies quickly * Work in a fast-paced Agile team environment * BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field * 4+ commercial software development * Strong Java experience * Strong SQL skills (Oracle/SQL server) * Strong OO design skills * Experience with Perl or other scripting languages * Knowledge of XML/XSL and processing of large data sets * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good interpersonal skills; ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector
