Java Software Developer (Investment Management)

There is an urgent need for a Java Software Engineer within a growing and reputable financial services provider in Boston. This individual will play a key role in testing a research platform to support the R&D of advanced financial planning methods. In addition to design and developing, you will also be supporting investment management, research and operations platforms.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a self-starter attitude, ability work within a team, and be well versed in financial planning concepts. In addition, if you have a track record of delivering software components that apply rules-based business logic and financial mathematics.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Transforming requirements into enterprise strength software
- Designing a research environment supporting new product ideas
- Developing modular business components
- Contributing ideas and development expertise to a team-based environment

Key Skills Needed:

- 6 years of Java development experience
- Previous Excel/VBA experience
- Financial industry background and strong OO design skills
- JMS, Spring, and Reflection Experience
- SQL experience, preferably Oracle
- US Citizens only please
