Java Software Developer Eclipse IDE, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, Javascript, webservices, Oracle 11g. Small development improvements 12 months with Extensions Luxembourg €310 a day
We are looking for a Senior Java Software Developer for a long term assignment at a European Institution in Luxembourg.
The goal of the mission is to provide maintenance, support and development on a collection of applications which take care of the administrative processes of the Institution - including functional and technical administration, performance and security monitoring, end-user support and resolution of day-to-day problem, corrective and evolutionary maintenance.
The project may also entail the consolidation of new minor functions or custom-made applications, with or without integration to other systems.
Availability: beginning of January.
TASKS
Daily support activities:
-Problem solving;
-Configuration changes/management;
-Intervention in production;
-Database modification.
Evolutive maintenance:
-Bug fixing;
-Small developments/application improvements. Release management:
-Co-ordination of releases with other teams;
-Change management;
-Packaging and documenting releases according to internal policies;
-Testing of changes, and use of user acceptance testing environments prior to changes to production and proper documentation of such testing activities.
PROFILE
For this position, a minimum of 7 years of experience (overlaps and gaps excluded) is required. A fluent level in English (both spoken and written) is also mandatory. French is an asset.
Knowledge in:
RDBMS used by internally developed Java applications include:
-Oracle 11g;
-SQL;
-PLSQL.
Java programming language used to build internally developed applications including:
-Eclipse IDE;
-Hibernate;
-Struts;
-Spring;
-JSF and RichFaces;
-Html;
-Javascript and frameworks, eg Dojo, YUI;
-Web services;
-POI, iText.
Business Objects:
-Report writing.
Competence in:
-Contract Management applications;
-Document management application;
-Adobe Acrobat forms;
-Active Directory.
