JAVA SENIOR DEVELOPER - JAVA NIO, CORE JAVA, OMS, UNIX, LINUX, FINANCIAL - CHICAGO IL USA

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EXPERIENCED JAVA DEVELOPER to work overseas in Chicago IL, USA. This is a Server Side role involved in building core technology for US Equities Front Office Applications. The successful candidate will be a hands on' developer working within a small focused team with exposure to Equity personnel. The candidate needs to be highly committed, and able to build close working relationships with both business and support teams.

REQUIRES

- Extensive experience in core Java
- Extensive hands on' experience with data structures, algorithms, and network programming using Java NIO
- Extensive development expertise in high performance, high availability, high throughout, high capacity, yet low latency, transaction-orientated, distributed system, preferably in a financial environment
- Good experience with order management systems or order state handling
- Extensive experience with development on a Unix and/or Linux environment
- Bachelors degree or International equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to explain concepts and ideas clearly and concisely to both business and development personnel.
