JAVA Senior Developer - Barcelona

We are currently looking for a Java Developer/Analyst for our client in Sant Cugat (Barcelona), Spain.

The contract will run initially till the end of the year, but we expect there to be extensions following.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Java Developer looking to increase their exposure to the following:

Must have

- Strong Customer Focus
- Low Latency
- Core Java Collections, Networking, NIO
- Knowledge of JAVA Concurrency and Performance and ability to apply to practical tasks
- Experience in a team that used XP and agile practices
- Experience of Unit testing, continuous integration, code review

Additionally if possible

- Experience with EE-family technologies JMS, JNDI
- Experience with open source soutions like Sprin IOC, ivy, gradle, git
- Knowledge of bash and groovy
- Experience at support tasks for productionalized systems, with the ability to find root causes and workarounds for urgent problems with production systems.
- Understanding TCP/IP, protocols stack, NATs, unix and windows commands to diagnose simple networking problems

Candidate must have good English and Spanish an advantage.
