Candidates with a strong work ethic and retail background and Point of Sale experience if possible are sought for a premium opportunity. The Programmer will be responsible for the complete design, coding and unit testing efforts associated with a major project effort that is currently under way.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Sr. Java Developer background
- Expertise in a software development environment
- Java SE 6
- Java Swing, JDBC
- MySQL
- Java Reporting Tools (eg JasperReports)
- NetBeans, JBuilder IDE
- Minimum of five (5) years of design and coding experience

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and code programs in approved language according to user and/or analyst specifications.
- Prepare documentation of coded programs and applications.
- Coordinate and/or modify user requirements to fit existing and projected technology capabilities.
- Plan and complete projects within established schedules and milestones.
- Test programs to ascertain the effectiveness of changes, including regression testing.
- Apply best practices for efficient data retrieval across multiple platforms.
- Assist in establishing file requirements and processing specifications.
- Design technical specifications as needed.

- History with catalog, retail POS, or supply chain applications preferred, including experience with Warehousing and Distribution software
