Currently, we are seeking a Systems Engineer for our financial services client to join our team of professionals! Selected individual will work as a Systems Engineer performing systems integration, hardware and software maintenance and operational duties.

SYSTEMS ENGINEER PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide platform management for standard server platforms.
- Participates in the implementation and support of infrastructure to address business needs
- Assist with tool development
- Source new data and monitoring existing data feeds
- Maintain Servers
- Provide estimates for funding
- Maintain IT relationships (CTG/FTG and external vendors).
- Success criteria for this position include solid technical skills, domain knowledge, gaining customer satisfaction, problem solving and attention to detail.

SYSTEMS ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS:

SYSTEMS ENGINEER EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years experience with Unix systems

SYSTEMS ENGINEER SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

- Competency in the following technologies: Perl/Python, Shell Scripting
- Experience with Java a strong plus.
- Ability to listen critically to users and domain experts to gather and analyze requirements
- Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with users, peers, management, QA, database and support staff to drive project delivery and issue resolution on time
- Ability to improve team's efficiency by contributing to best practices, tools and techniques both in technology and process areas
- Strong knowledge of network architecture
- Strong knowledge of system interrelations/integration
- Good judgment, decision making, and ability to assess and manage risk
- Ability to communicate and provide transparency at the relevant level of detail depending on the audience
