Java/SQL Solutions Architect needed for a profitable division of a fast-growing $400 million dollar healthcare software/services corporation having offices in the Morrisville Area of North Carolina. This position starts with a 6 month contract and then is expected to convert to be a PERMANENT FULL-TIME position. The Solutions Architect is responsible for helping to shape the technical and organizational success across a complex development environment consisting of multiple development teams and multiple product suites. The Solutions Architect is a key role with significant responsibilities and deliverables that requires influencing others while having no direct reports. This role requires hands on expertise in Java, SQL, Web Application Development, relational database, problem solving, organizational skills and leadership.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES

- Java Developer - strong expertise needed.
- SQL and relational databases - strong expertise needed.
- Oracle - preferred.
- Web Application Development - required.
- Test Driven Development (TDD) - experience preferred and must be willing to adopt TDD and advocate for TDD.
- Architect experience preferred but wiling to consider suitably skilled and motivated Senior Developer, Principal Developer, Team Lead, Technical Development Manager, etc.
