Java Lead Developer/Architect - Oracle - Banking - Zurich

A Senior Java Developer with fullstack Java experience is needed for a tier 1 investment bank in Zurich. This is a 6 month initial contract with scope for extension.

DESCRIPTION:

- Lead developer having end-to-end responsibility for all technical aspects of a

project, including development, testing, effort estimation, application design,
coding standards, problem resolution etc.
- Controls quality of application development by making sure the architecture and

development guidelines/rules are followed
- Manages the knowledge base for the projects and IT solutions they work on
- Conducts design and code reviews
- Communicates project status, resource constraints, and open issues to the project

manager on a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Very strong development and technical skills Java/J2EE, Spring,

Hibernate, Database, Web Applications, Security
- 8+ years of experience in the analysis, design, implementation and

support of large complex environments
- Excellent design skills
- Good knowledge of design/modelling standards (UML, design patterns etc.)
- Good knowledge of database design
- 12+ years of experience in the analysis, design, implementation and

support of large complex environments
- Experience with Oracle, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Sun Solaris
- Experience with integrating standard products into a complex

environment - Working experience in financial industry
- Language skills: English, German is beneficial
