Java/J2EE, SQL, Linux Analyst Programmer

Proteus Europe is searching for a Java Developer for a contract role in Belgium who is fluent in either French or Dutch.

Your New role:

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of professional experience in Java development.

The mission is as follows:

- Integrate the Scrum team
- Maintain (corrective + evolutive) the NIPPIN platform
- Bring ideas for the evolution of the platform (eg improve resources management and footprint on the Servers)
- Implement/test use cases defined by/with customer
- Ability to work with infrastructure team in a devops way of working
- There will be a fair degree of Autonomy with self-assessment of priorities and good reporting to higher level of management
- You will have a natural ability to quickly find solutions (not be afraid of asking for support as and when the situation requires it.)

Communication skills:

- You will be fluent in either French or Dutch, this is a must for the customer contact side. (There will be no communication with customers in English), bilingual is of course the best.
- English will be used for technical documentation.

Essential Skills:

- JavaSE 8
- Testing (Junit, SoapUI, )
- Git
- Continuous integration/continuous testing (as user)
- Webservices
- Relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle) or NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis) databases
- Linux
- Docker
- Cloud experience (Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Openshift, Pivotal, )
- Micro-services environment (Wildfly-swarm, spring boot, )

Desirable Skills:

- Security (WS-Security, SAML, signature, encryption, ...)
- Messaging frameworks (JMS, Kafka)
- High volume and performance oriented
