Java J2EE Lead Developer/Architect - ASP.NET - Newcastle

Java J2EE Lead Developer (ideally with some ASP.NET experience) is immediately sought by leading consultancy client for project based in Newcastle.

Role requires a firm understanding of Java/J2EE concepts and the associated development tools.   Having ASP.NET skills will be bonus.

The Lead Developer will be expected to take ownership of system problems, evaluate possible solutions, and assign and manage work with a disparate application support team.

Expected, the Java J2EE Lead Developer/Architect will work in a collaborative environment with other members of the applications team and technical services team, and will provide mentoring guidance to junior developers. You will be able to build cordial rapport with all stakeholder and must have strong written/verbal communications.

Technical Experience required

J2EE/JEE Architecture -  Servlets, EJBs, JSP ASP.NET Javascript (DOM, DHTML, Ajax) WebMethods ESB experience Web Services (SOAP, REST) Eclipse/IBM RAD SVN/Subversion HTML XML Struts Hibernate Oracle/SQL Server/DB2 AIX/UNIX/Linux IBM WebSphere and JBOSS Performance Optimization

Ability to collaborate with team members based on-site, off-site, and off-shore.
