For one of our projects in the public sector we are currently looking for an analyst programmer JAVA J2EE in Brussels for the development and maintenance of information systems.

It will be your role to:

- Design, data analysis and Datamodelling;
- Writing/Testing/Maintenance of web applications and web services;
- Integration of applications with other applications and databases;
- Configuration management
- Assistance with training the administrators and users of the system;
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system;
- Produce and/or update technical documentation in English;
- Provision of technical assistance to other team members;
- Participation in meetings with users;

Used development tools:

- Java, J2EE, Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JPA)
- C.I. (Jenkins/Bamboo, Sonar)
- Ant, Maven
- RESTful webservices and/or SOAP (Axis2)
- jBPM
- Weblogic
- Oracle 11g (incl. PL/SQL);

QUALIFICATIONS

For this role you need:

- In depth experience with the creation of web applications using the above mentioned development SW/Tools
- Relevant experience of Spring Surf, JMS messaging, JSON, Freemarker is an advantage
- Relevant experience of Junit, JBehave, Selenium webdriver, SVN is an advantage
- Previous experience with Alfresco CMS is an advantage;
- Previous experience with the Lucene search engine is an advantage;
- Good Knowledge of Agile SW development and RUP methodologies is an advantage;
- Knowledge of UML is a plus;
- Knowledge of DG EAC programmes is a plus;
- Fluent in either FR or EN and working knowledge of the other;
- Quick learning ability is required as well as teamwork spirit and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment
