Our Client is looking for a Java/J2EE Architect with for a 24 month Project based in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Client:

A large scale consultancy.

The Role:-

Architect a solution in this technology area for a given problem statement.
In depth knowledge of multitier architecture.
Designing and architect solutions around J2EE, should be well versed with stacking and layering of architecture modelling, should be conversant with decision making in terms of technology comparison with J2EE technologies
Customer business requirements and propose optimal solutions around J2EE technologies focusing on simplifications, virtualization, aggregation and automation.

Skills:-

Deep understanding of Java Runtime Environments (including Object handling, Memory management, Measurement of Java Runtime behaviour, how works reflection, etc.)
Good understanding of Monitoring and Profiling of Java applications (eg how does a profiler work)
Good understanding of Database Tuning is desirable
Engineers mind-set, meaning capability of structured analysis, conclusion deriving, proof and exclusion of assumption
Having good knowledge about our technology stack (performance related): Hardware, VMware, Unix (Linux, Solaris), Oracle Java, WebLogic, DB etc.
5+ years of software development experience in Java (JEE) and a good understanding of C
Previous experience in performance analysis of complex IT systems
Previous experience using load generation tools (LoadRunner, Grinder, JMeter, etc) is desirable
Interest in statistical analysis and the ability to converse
Should be able to appreciate complex business scenarios in respective domain like telecom or enterprise or financial solutions and come out with robust, scalable technology architecture solutions and technically guide the implementation team throughout the SDLC
Should understand various architecture models and application stacking/layering to provide business with suitable technology alternatives with in Java/J2EE technologies.
Should be able to provide cost effective, open standard, highly secured multi-platform, multi-data source, multi-channel solutions considering Virtualization, aggregation, automation and simplification principles
Should be able to recommend customer with various design and technology alternatives within Java world like comparison and trade off across various presentation framework models and persistence framework models
Should be able to design and architect application for high data volume, large user base, complex transaction business scenarios, high usability and multi-channel data format like SWIFT, hand held devices, Web channels etc.
Should be very comfortable in architecting and designing application with high performance, RIA and usability design.
Should be the Look forward to person in the project for all technical related Issues in the project
Should be able to implement technical best practices in design and coding
Should be a guru in component reuse across applications and promote design patterns with in the project
Support customer accounts/project delivery through technology audits to ensure right quality.
Should be able to conceptualize data model, Should have expertise in tools for creating conceptual/logical data model
Should have good expertise in various J2EE design patterns
Must be able to create detailed design using tools like Rational Rose or equivalent ensuring good amount of Tool Generated Code

CHF 400 - 500 per day
