Java Hadoop Big Data Developer, €550pd - Belgium

I am currently on the search for a DUTCH SPEAKING core Java developer with Big data experience in Hadoop to work for a leading Data Analytics company/consultancy. Paying up to €550pd based in Gent, Belgium.

This is a chance to work hands-on with a number of Big data/analytical tools, in addition to Core Java, Multi-threading - and the chance to work on a longer term contract

The successful candidate should have 5+ years experience building and designing large-scale software development and consultancy. He/she has a strong crossfunctional technical background and a willingness and capacity to expand leadership and technical skills.

- Expert knowledge developing and debugging in Java/J2EE
- Hadoop, Hive, Hbase
- Sound knowledge of Relational Databases (RDBMS), SQL databases
- Maven, git, IntelliJ/eclipse, unit testing
- Proficient linux user with basic linux administration skills
- Experience with agile/scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product

changes, develop user stories and work through backlogs - TDD
- Python is desirable
